Bed Time

Every night before we put Vivi to sleep, we have a bath, then put on our pajamas and then - it's off to brush our teeth. Vivi absolutely hated it when I brushed them at first. Then, one night, she started to like it and would actually let me brush them. She lets me do it every night (mostly) and will open her mouth and smile sometimes.
While we were taking this video, we are speaking Portuguese to her and sang a few songs that she likes. One is about the 5 little ducks. When the momma duck calls her little ducks, Vivi makes the duck hands. Then when the little ducks go out to play, she waves her arms. It's adorable!
Then there is the Happy Birthday Song. She always claps to this, so we sing it - a lot (and a lot is an understatement).
It's a long video, but has all kinds of good stuff. She's getting so big!

Bath Time

These pics are a little old (maybe 2 months!) But I just bought a new cable to upload my pictures! So I have LOTS of pictures to post. 

I love giving Vivi a bath - and she is totally loving them too! She has all of Daniel's facial expressions...

Celebrating With Friends

 Our good friend's baby Samantha celebrated her first birthday and we were invited! They had some fun water activities for the kids and Vivi got to sport her swimsuit! I may be biased, but I think she looked adorable!

Easter

This was a simple Easter. We were able to see the Easter pageant at the Mesa Temple. It was wonderful as usual. Vivi was lovin the angles, but then got sick of sitting still. She happened

On Saturday before Easter, we went to my brother's house for a family gathering.

We had hamburgers with all the fixins and several delicious salads.

The kids afterwards played all sorts of games.

New Food

So Vivi has chosen to be done eating baby food. She will have NONE of it... besides the bottle!
We've tried all kinds of alternatives, and tonight was another first...
We went to In and Out - my favorite burger joint. And she loved it. Sorry, no foto of her diggin' it. But she ate a good amount of my burger (bite size pieces, of course - and a couple of fries!).


We then headed over to Yogurtland - I've been craving this for over a month and we had to go there! She sampled a couple, but loooooved the "Dulce de Leite" flavor. She ate two full sample cups of it! (That's my girl!)

(I got Chocolate, Coconut and Dulce de Leite - but later kept going up for samples of the one called "Guava Bliss" or something like that. It was sooo good, but for some reason I didn't get it. I hate it when I do that!)

Vivi's 10 Months!

Where has the time gone!

At 10 months, Vivi:
Has 5 and 1/2 teeth!
Can crawl everywhere
Climbs up to stand up!
Monkey walks
Claps - She holds her right hand still and moves her left - every time!
Squeals and screams louder than her dad
Loves to dance to her dad beat-boxing (I have to record this!)
Prefers to feed herself any finger food.
Does not like the sippy cup for anything other than play.
Loves books - to read and chew on
Cries every time I put her in her high chair to eat (then settles down).
Loves to swing upside-down, but hates to be thrown in the air
Prefers to make as much noise as possible with anything she can get her hands on
Loves to watch the dogs play
Responds to her name and "choo choo" - not sure how this nick-name started???
And the list could go on and on!

That's what she's been loving to play with recently.
And boy does it make her happy (as you can tell by these fotos!)

We're crossing our fingers that for her 16th birthday all she'll want is a button :)
