Easter

This was a simple Easter. We were able to see the Easter pageant at the Mesa Temple. It was wonderful as usual. Vivi was lovin the angles, but then got sick of sitting still. She happened
On Saturday before Easter, we went to my brother's house for a family gathering.
We had hamburgers with all the fixins and several delicious salads.

The kids afterwards played all sorts of games.
Bobbing for Apples
Fish Raises (with real goldfish)
and of course
An Easter Egg Hunt

(I liked this foto because is shows the oldest and youngest grand daughters!
My dad's holding Vivi and my niece Jessica is to his left.)

(Vivi - just trying to figure out how to crawl while holding on to her egg!)

New Food

So Vivi has chosen to be done eating baby food. She will have NONE of it... besides the bottle!
We've tried all kinds of alternatives, and tonight was another first...
We went to In and Out - my favorite burger joint. And she loved it. Sorry, no foto of her diggin' it. But she ate a good amount of my burger (bite size pieces, of course - and a couple of fries!).

We then headed over to Yogurtland - I've been craving this for over a month and we had to go there! She sampled a couple, but loooooved the "Dulce de Leite" flavor. She ate two full sample cups of it! (That's my girl!)

(I got Chocolate, Coconut and Dulce de Leite - but later kept going up for samples of the one called "Guava Bliss" or something like that. It was sooo good, but for some reason I didn't get it. I hate it when I do that!)

Vivi's 10 Months!

Where has the time gone!

At 10 months, Vivi:
Has 5 and 1/2 teeth!
Can crawl everywhere
Climbs up to stand up!
Monkey walks
Claps - She holds her right hand still and moves her left - every time!
Squeals and screams louder than her dad
Loves to dance to her dad beat-boxing (I have to record this!)
Prefers to feed herself any finger food.
Does not like the sippy cup for anything other than play.
Loves books - to read and chew on
Cries every time I put her in her high chair to eat (then settles down).
Loves to swing upside-down, but hates to be thrown in the air
Prefers to make as much noise as possible with anything she can get her hands on
Loves to watch the dogs play
Responds to her name and "choo choo" - not sure how this nick-name started???
And the list could go on and on!
(Vivi and Daddy)

(Cousin Caleb and Vivi - he's about 2 months younger than her)

(Vivi showing off and Shanka - she found a safe place!)

The cheapest toy, ever!

Yep - a shoelace!
That's what she's been loving to play with recently.
And boy does it make her happy (as you can tell by these fotos!)

We're crossing our fingers that for her 16th birthday all she'll want is a button :)

Way overdue!

So sorry I've been super lacking on the updates! But here I am, totally sick (literally) and it's 11:11 at night and I'm looking at pictures because I can't sleep because I was in bed all day!
Here are my two most recent favorites of Little Miss Vivi

She's learned to pull herself up in her crib and will hold and rock, sometimes giggling and waits for us to go in to get her in the morning. She's all smiles when we find her!

My other favorite picture that I found tonight was this one! Oh my gosh - she cracks me up. She has two little bottom teeth and I think that's what's contributing to so much tongue action! Seriously, she's always sticking it out. Just had to share!

Hope you're all well - more updates to come! I promise :)

Christmas of 2011

This was a very simple, but sweet Christmas for us. Our biggest present was just having Vivi here with us! We spent Christmas Eve with Daniel's parents and grandmother - dinner and visited the Temple Lights!

We stopped by my parents for a short visit.
Grandpa Cox, Cousin Lilly, and Vivi

Then on Christmas, we went to church and headed over to my parents. We visited with them and my sister LaDawn, her husband Mike and their two girls. After a delicious lunch we went to Daniel's parents and opened presents.
Vovo Naty, Vivi and Vovo Juju

Momma got a beautiful scarf from father-in-law. Vivi liked it.

Momma also got a fun apron with a matching hot pad - homemade from her mother-in-law.

Papa got a fun hat from his daddy!

Vivi looks pretty cute in it too!

Vivi got some fun books for bedtime! Notice the butterfly theme...

Vivi's Vovo made this butterfly pillow! So sweet!

Later... Vivi got to see her fun present from Momma and Papa!

She loves it!

We had such a great time! Wonderful memories! We are so thankful for all of you and your friendship and love! Most of all, we are grateful for our Savior and a loving Father in Heaven. We hope your Christmas was joyful and full of wonderful memories!

Checkin' out the Tree

Merry Christmas

Hope yours was as fun as ours!
